On “Wittgenstein and the 20th Century Analytical Philosophy”

Dear Colleague:
In the past twenty years the Wittgenstein scholarship has been stably developed in China. To promote the studies of Wittgenstein in China and provide an opportunity for communication between Chinese scholars and Western scholars with regard to the Wittgenstein scholarship, the Institute of Foreign Philosophy at Peking University will sponsor and organize a three-days international conference on Wittgenstein at October 2002, in Beijing. The leading agenda of this conference had been proposed as follows:
1. Wittgenstein’s Contribution to the 20th Century Analytical Philosophy.
2. Realism, Anti-realism, and Rule-Following.
3. Meaning, Knowledge, and Understanding.
4. Wittgenstein and Davidson: Thought and Content.
If you are interested in taking part in the conference, you may submit the abstract of your article (with no more than 500 words) via email (the address is given below) by July 15th, 2002. Once we have received your abstract and examined the possibility of your presenting your paper in the conference, we will send you the official notice.
