内容简介
Logic contains many notions of 'information', when you look well. This reflects the geneal issue how to define this crucial notion across the sciences. We will discuss the major senses of information in logic, based on semantic 'range', semantic 'correlation' and syntactic 'elucidation', we prove some results on comparing the three, and we discuss how far they can be integrated into one coherent picture of what logic is about.

约翰?范?本瑟姆教授简介
范?本瑟姆教授是当今国际最知名的逻辑学家之一，在哲学逻辑的主干研究领域做出了奠基性的贡献，他提出的一系列概念和技术已经成为逻辑教科书的基本内容。他还是逻辑与语言、逻辑与认知等交叉学科的主要开创者之一，这些交叉学科是今天逻辑学前沿最活跃的研究领域，范?本瑟姆教授在其中起着积极的推动者和领导者的作用。由于他卓越的学术成就，1996年荷兰政府授予他斯宾诺莎奖。范?本瑟姆教授还是美国斯坦福大学的人文科学的博撒（Bonsall）教授，荷兰艺术与科学学院、欧洲科学院和国际哲学院的院士，是多个杂志的编辑。上世纪90年代范?本瑟姆教授创建了阿姆斯特丹大学的逻辑、语言与计算研究所（ILLC），并长期指导该研究所的工作。ILLC是今天国际上规模最大的专门从事逻辑与语言学、计算机科学、认知科学等交叉领域研究的研究中心。
范?本瑟姆教授多年来非常热心推进中国的逻辑学研究和国际交流的开展，在我国“国家建设高水平大学公派研究生项目”中是我系与ILLC联合培养博士生的指导教授，对我国逻辑学的发展做出了很大的贡献。
