第8次环太平洋地区大学联合会博士生会议将于2007年7月30日- 8月3日在日本庆应大学(Keio University, Japan)举行。会议的主题为“The Emerging Future of the Pacific rim: Alliances, Collaboration and Networking”，旨在探讨环太平洋地区如何通过相互联系与合作来共同应对未来全球化背景下所面临的各项挑战，以及它们对不同社会、环境、国家、地区的影响，为各学科间的交流提供一个平台。
博士生可以通过提交论文或组织专题小组分会（panel session）等两种形式参会。
会议的相关申请日程安排如下：
31 December 2006: Deadline for the on-line submission of panel proposals (at
most 500 words)
10 January 2007: Notification of acceptance of panels
10 February 2007: Deadline for the on-line submission of abstracts (at most 250
words)
10 March 2007: Notification of acceptance of abstracts
25 June 2007: Deadline for the submission of full papers
30 July ~ 3 August 2007: Doctoral Student Conference at Keio University

资助情况：
1、DSC participants will be provided with six nights of free accommodation for the nights of 29, 30, 31 July and 1, 2, 3 August at a hotel near the Mita campus of Keio University.
2、No registration fees will be charged for the 8th Annual Association of Pacific Rim
Universities Doctoral Student Conference.
