My research revolves around the mental and moral foundations of human cooperation. I received my PhD from the University of Maryland. I have a master’s degree from the Humboldt University in Berlin where I studied philosophy and theology. My current research is focused on the normative significance of negative emotions, especially as these emotions relate to forgiveness and the rationality of grief.
